Roberta Heath

Roberta Heath, M.A., LMFT

Roberta Heath is from Oklahoma, born in the Ouachita Mountains and raised near Poteau, Oklahoma, the home of Cavanal Hill, the highest hill in the world. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human and Family Services at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma and went on to complete her graduate studies and earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southern Nazarene University.


She has nearly 10 years of experience as a therapist working with people from all walks of life and is passionate about seeing people heal from childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and codependency. She is a Certified Trauma Professional and is skilled at holding space for individuals and facilitating healing from the impact of trauma. 


Roberta believes that people are inherently relational beings and problems are not limited to the individual, but impact the entire family system. She has a holistic approach to healing which includes awareness of the mind, body, and spirit when working through various issues. Roberta’s experience includes group therapy, group rehab, group psychoeducation, outpatient individual, couples, and family therapy in community mental health and residential settings. She has experience in crisis intervention and case management. She has provided therapy services for clients experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance-abuse, grief/bereavement, parenting education, codependency education, trauma therapy, as well as higher education for behavioral science students seeking a career in the helping profession. 


In addition to being a therapist, Roberta has four daughters, two granddaughters, a husband, and two dogs named Wesley and Dany. During her free time, she is immersed in acts of creativity such as painting, drawing, collage making, writing, and reading. Some of her favorite things to do is spend quality time with her friends and family, traveling, boulder hopping, hiking, swimming, and playing sports (volleyball, basketball, and softball).
